Rockers donate items to auctions all the time for good causes, which is great! But, shouldn't you donate things people actually want? Someone may want a signed ukulele, but it seems odd. Vedder DID have an album of all songs performed with a ukulele, but it didn't sell that well. It's still odd.
In this instance, it's to raise money for Epidermolysis Bullosa, a rare genetic condition in which people experience severe blistering of the skin in response to just rubbing or applying light friction to the skin. The Foo Fighters donated a motorcycle jacket and drumhead. No Doubt donated a signed poster. Eddie threw in a ukulele.
