During an interview, Slash was asked why he thinks Scott Weiland (once again) publicly said he wants to get back together with Velvet Revolver. Here's what Slash said:

"That's because he got fired from STP," but then he added, "I think, all things considered, because these things always catch me by surprise, too, because I only find out about it through the media. I'm on the road in another country and I start hearing all this stuff, so I inquire within, and that's what I was told."

Either Slash was back tracking, because he wasn't supposed to let it spill. OR, Slash was clarifying that this is his assumption, because he doesn't want to cause a media frenzy. STP have yet to make any comment at all. For now it's not fact, but it's a possibility that Scott is out of STP. It would explain why they've been so quiet.
