Wozz 9 @9 Posted January 14, 2010 by David Louis

Friday’s (1/15) Wozz 9 @ 9 takes us to 1968 with the Assassination of Martin Luther King Jr and Robert Kennedy, The London Bridge was sold for a million and re-erected in Arizona and the Pope told Catholics they couldn’t use the “pill”. We paid 49 cents for our first Bic Mac and rocked with the Stones, Beatles, Greatful Dead and Jimi Hendrix. Cream's "White Room" is first out of the gate at 9 after Bob & Tom

Album Side Thursday Posted January 14, 2010 by David Louis

Well ... that was fun. I just got off the air for my portion of our first Wozz Album Side Thursday. I look forward to coming to work every day but today was special. Hearing that needle drop on vinyl reminded me of the anticipation we had when bringing that new record home. We'd be slitting that plastic and reading evrything there was to read on the album jacket and feeling like you struck gold when the lyrics were included. You would be in a rock n' roll stupor if they included a poster. I can't wait until we do it again!

The Tuesday 1/12 the Wozz 9@9 will feature 9 great songs from one great year ... 1984. The first Apple Mac went on sale ... The 1st CD players went on sale ... We had Gremlins, Ghostbusters, the Search for Spock and ... The Terminator. I promise we won't play Wham, Billy Ocean or Kenny Rogers.
